I would like there to be some discussion about getting Hustle into the public eye, i.e. into clubs, movies, and TV.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your input, we’ll make sure that this gets submitted to Ron Bess for the Open Forum on October 9 & 10 at World Hustle Dance Championships.

In the midwest, particularly Chicago, there doesn’t seem to be very much promotion of hustle outside of the studios & private dance clubs where regulars attend. This is in contrast to salsa & Latin dancing in general that is everywhere.

I feel that it is necessary to get hustle OUT of the studios, which are isolated conclaves where perfection & competitions are emphasized & the social aspects are secondary, and into the clubs where it can be enjoyed by all.

How can this best be accomplished?

Hi Les,
Thanks for your comment. It is a good question and one that can be submitted for our Open Forum. I will make sure to bring this to Ron Bess’ attention. I completely agree, we need to promote the social aspect of Hustle much more than we are now.

I hope you’ll join us at World Hustle Dance Championships for the Open Forum.

Asia Bautista
